Ready for the Good Times!

In the past 7 decades, California has eroded the safety net for those with severe and chronic mental illness with the elimination of the psychiatric facilities for long term care. This has contributed to the skyrocketing homeless population, with over 50% of the unhoused self-reporting mental illness. The largest "treatment" facility in the US is the prison system. And the mentally ill are often "treated" with solitairy confinement.

Punishing the sick with incarceration is senselessly cruelty and there's much to mourn in the way we neglect to care for these people, arguably among our most vulnerable.

But, at Sustainable Stability, we're ready for the good times!

Because we're putting forth a vision of housing the chronically housing-insecure mentally ill on therapeutic organic farms in California. We envision this as the path towards better health outcomes, reduced homeless populations, reduced law enforcement and Emergency Room costs, cleaner and safer cities, more jobs and housing, and more. That's a win to the 8th power! And plenty to celebr8, m8!!

Are you ready to support this vision for California? Our grass roots organization needs feedback, volunteers, and your time, talents, and network!
